Holiday Quick Cleaning Tips

Holiday cleaning can be a daunting task but it doesn’t have to be. If you are preparing for house guests this holiday season follow our quick holiday cleaning tips for a clean, festive, holiday home.

Holiday Cleaning Step 1 – Starting at the front door, walk through the house as though you are the guest and seeing your home for the first time. Make a list of everything you see that needs cleaned or touched up. Look at details like the door handles, welcome mat, baseboards, ceiling fixtures, pictures, pillows, upholstery, area rugs, etc. Once you have your list you can proceed to step 2.

Holiday Cleaning Step 2 – Go through each room one by one, pick up and put away any items that are out of place. Be sure to clean anything that was on your list as you go. As necessary, dust furniture, shelves, pictures, and fixtures. We will save vacuuming for the very end.

Holiday Cleaning Step 3 – Spend extra time in the restrooms wiping down the sinks, switches, counters, toilet, etc. Re-stock hand towels, toilet paper, tissues, etc.

After you have completed this list, spend a few minutes vacuuming the floors and area rugs and then you will be finished! If your carpets and upholstery need a refresh, give Oxy Carpet Cleaning & Upholstery Cleaning a call and schedule an appointment that is convenient for you. Our two-step deep clean carpet cleaning process will ensure that all of your upholstery, carpets and area rugs are fresh and clean for the holiday season and all of your holiday guests.
